Eversource and United Illuminating administer Residential Renewable Energy Solutions. You pick Buy-All or Netting on the application Helio files — not both. Buy-All is a locked check. Netting credits the bill at retail, with a $0 REC payment and a Solar Energy Adjustment on 2026 applications.
That adjustment is charged on everything the system produces, not just what you export, so a battery does not avoid it — and it does not apply to Buy-All at all. It is one of the reasons the two tariffs can land further apart than people expect.
Income adders are available for qualifying households and for siting in a distressed community, at rates that depend on which applies — the cards beside this carry the current figures. Sales tax and property tax on the equipment are exempt. Helio’s prelim models Buy-All unless your usage profile says Netting wins — we compare both on the roof.
Headquarters is Trumbull. The crews, the interconnection paperwork, and the PURA forms are ordinary Helio work, not a subcontractor surprise.
